Southern Boundaries Mural
With Julienne Alexander
Publicly commissioned mural for a park in Durham, North Carolina. The call for entry requested a public engagement portion. The artists did a preliminary interactive mural to request feedback from park goers. Realizing there were a wide range of ideas and voices to represent, the artists ultimately set up a photo booth downtown to take portraits of community members. The portraits were turned into silhouettes and amalgamated into a colorful portrait of the citizens of Durham.
